PEARL, Ms. – Jackson (Ms.) Callaway Senior High 2017 defensive end Aaron Odom didn’t participate in Michigan's satellite camp on Wednesday. And while he was just there as an observer, the four-star standout walked away with a positive camp stay.
“It’s a pretty good experience,” Odom said. “There are a lot of good athletes out here and good coaching. It’s a good camp.”
The camp also gave Odom an opportunity to reconnect with his future coaches at Mississippi State.
“It’s just a great experience getting a home feeling,” Odom said of working with MSU coaches. “Wherever they go is home, cause they are my coaches.”
Odom says he also has slight interest in Michigan.
“Pretty good (interest), they’ve been kind of recruiting me lately,” Odom said, noting the Wolverines have yet to offer.
Although, he admits an offer from Michigan wouldn’t change much in his recruitment right now.
“I’m still pretty firm with Mississippi State,” Odom said. “But I would put them in consideration too.”
Adding if offered, he would possibly entertain an official visit to U-M this fall. He also noted Florida State, Tennessee, and Missouri as other programs still heavily recruiting him at the moment.
