Charlton: 'I love coach Brown'

Michigan defensive end Taco Charlton "loves" the transition into defensive coordinator Don Brown's scheme.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Taco Charlton couldn't hide his enthusiasm when asked about playing in Don Brown's defensive scheme. Why? Well, it gives the 6-foot-6, 285-pounder to lineup off the edge in Brown's aggressive 4-3 scheme, as Charlton will look to improve on his 5.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss stat line form a season ago.

“I love coach Brown,” Charlton said. “He gets fired up. He gets after it. He’s a fun person to play for. You can tell he just wants to pressure that quarterback, as a D-lineman that's what we love to do.”

Everyone will get their fist chance to see Charlton in Brown's revamped defense when Michigan opens its season with Hawaii on Sept. 3.
