ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Led by Chris Wormley, Michigan brings back one of the “best” defensive lines in the country, says U-M’s fifth-year senior. But do the Wolverines have the best unit overall? Well, Wormley didn’t say yes, but he did say U-M has a chance to be one of the elite units in the country with the return of Ryan Glasgow, Taco Charlton, Maurice Hurst Jr., and the addition of five-star super recruit Rashan Gary.
“We have those new guys coming in who can maybe add a little something different,” Wormley said. “When we put the pads on we got the experience, we go the depth, we got guys who can come in and rotate when the starters are tired.”
Adding: “So it’s exciting to see that transition and see those guys develop into guys who can help us out. Hopefully we can become the best defensive line in the country.”
Michigan opens its season with Hawaii on Sept. 3.
