One of the farthest visitors that were at Michigan this past weekend was Salinas (Calif.) Palma 2017 center Drew Dalman. The Golden State lineman talks about his trip to Ann Arbor.
“It was great,” Dalman told The Michigan Insider. “I got the chance to see the facilities, meet the coaches, and tour the campus, so I got a pretty good idea of the school. I talked with the strength coach, Coach Drevno, and Coach Harbaugh. They just told me they were excited to have me up and how the program was doing. I like the quality of the football, coaching staff, and the academics it offers.”
The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder got to closely watch offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Tim Drevno in action at the camp and get to further build the relationship.
“I thought he was great,” said Dalman. “He definitely came off as knowledgable and passionate. (He didn’t say) nothing too noteworthy, mostly just getting to know me.”
What stood out the most to Dalman during his time in Ann Arbor? Seeing how passionate and supportive Maize and Blue fans are.
“Probably how dedicated the fan base in the city around the college seemed,” said Dalman. “Thought it was pretty unreal, not used to that where I'm from.”
