2018 four-star wide receiver Jalen Hall is considered to be one of the most coveted wide receivers in next years class. Boasting over 35 offers, he recently took his talents to Michigan's Los Angeles satellite camp and really shined.
Michigan, who is one of many suitors for Hall's services, was able to see him work firsthand. For Hall, it was another experience for him to interact with Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh, whom he has spoken with a handful of times in the past.
“He’s a cool guy,” Hall said. “Funny but, of course, he’s about business and likes to get work done. I talk to him a lot and I let him know that if I go to Michigan, I want to get into the league. That’s something I want to do. He lets me know that he wants to recruit me and wants me to be there.”
Hall, who is still early in the process, says he doesn't have any leaders in the race for his signature as of right. Instead, he says all the schools stand out to him. However, do the Wolverines stick out to him at all?
“I would say that (they stick out) as well as the other schools,” Hall said. “Michigan, to speak on them specifically, I think it’s a great school. The coaches are great and they seem like they work hard and also know how to have fun.”
U-M might have a feather in its cap early on if Hall's interest were to ramp up. Sometimes its difficult to get West Coast players out for unofficial visits. However, Hall was able to experience Ann Arbor on an unofficial visit with his team previously.
“It was cool,” Hall said. “I went with my team. We got to see the uniforms, I’m a big fan of Jordan’s, that’s real big. Just getting to talk to the coaches and seeing how they do things down there. Get to know them personally and see if they have my back on and off the field. Each time I get to see them I have a great time talking to them.”
For now, Hall will be working on his game and isn't in any rush to make a decision on his future. In fact, Hall says that he will be a signing day decision.
What will be the deciding factors when Hall ultimately decides? Make no qualms about it, Hall wants to come in and play right away.
“Playing time, I want to come in and play as a freshman, I don’t want to be sitting,” Hall said regarding the significant factors of his decision. “I just want to work, get to the league. That’s where my mind is at.”
