Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines have gotten to see thousands of prospects this month over their satellite tour including San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon 2018 defensive end Jeremiah Martin. After getting to see him work in person at the Hawkins High satellite camp, Michigan decided they had seen enough and extended an offer out to the rising Golden State standout.
“My reaction to the news was very shocking and was stunned another dream school offer,” Martin told The Michigan Insider. “I'm very thankful and blessed to be in a situation like this.”
With an offer now in hand from the Wolverines, Martin now has them as one of his favorites at the moment.
“Very interested, I will say top three of my list,” said Martin. “Yeah, from the five offers I have just started it. It’s still early.”
One factor in the 6-foot-6, 245-pounder's interest towards the Maize and Blue is head coach Jim Harbaugh, who is a coach he thinks very highly of.
“He's a great coach,” said Martin. “I like what he brings to the table, very great head on his shoulders and also one of my favorite coaches. He knows what he's talking about and knows what he's doing, so you can see success in what he tells you.”
Despite landing an Wolverine offer, Martin’s familiarity in the program is still fairly low, but hopes to change that by getting out to Ann Arbor in the future.
“I can't say to much because I haven't been around in the area, but from television and highlights, I like the school pride and school support to every sport. I also like the coaching staff, who are all energetic and always smiling, just always happy people. Yes indeed (I plan on visiting Michigan).”
