Wilson likes 'everything' about Michigan

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep 2017 OT Isaiah Wilson updates his recruitment with Michigan and more.

Four-star 2017 offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson has been on Michigan’s big board for sometime now. In fact, he told The Michigan Insider that the Wolverines are in his top-five list of schools.

His top-five in no particular order includes: USC, Alabama, Michigan, Georgia and LSU. Mores specifically about U-M, why is he considering the Wolverines?

"I like everything about Michigan, from the coaches to the campus,” Wilson said.

Wilson has connected with U-M offensive coordinator Tim Drevno and assistant coach Tyrone Wheatley the most, he says.

“Coach Wheatley and coach Drevno are two people I really talk to a lot from there,” Wilson said. “They are very genuine and down to earth. With all their accomplishments you would think that they can be a little business like, but they are very genuine personal guys.”

With U-M’s annual recruiting barbecue bonanza coming up on Aug. 6, Wilson says he’s non-committal to the event and most likely will not be in attendance.

However, he did note that he plans to take one of his official visits to Michigan this fall. And once he takes all five of his official visits, Wilson says he plans to announce his commitment at the Under Armor All-American Game or on national signing day.
