Michigan will be losing a member of its 2016 recruiting class.
Announced via Twitter on Friday, U-M four-star wide receiver signee Brad Hawkins will be headed to Suffield Academy, a prep school, for the season. He will not be enrolling with the Wolverine football program this season.
Hawkins, rated No. 269 on the Scout 300 list, was rated No. 41 for his position and was a member of the impressive New Jersey haul the Wolverines secured in 2016.
It is unclear what the future holds between U-M and Hawkins in the future.
