BEAVERTON, Ore. – In no particular order, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman 2017 cornerback Alex Perry says his top five schools include: Arizona State, Colorado, North Carolina, Boise State and Michigan.
Even though Michigan sits in his top group, Perry says the Wolverines haven’t been in much contact lately. However, the four-star standout admits he still is very much interested in taking a visit to U-M -- again -- this fall.
“We haven’t really been in contact lately, but they already know they are a top schools for me,” Perry said. “So I’m going to take an official (to Michigan) later this season and see what that’s all about.”
This, of course, will be Perry’s second trip to Ann Arbor since he soaked in campus life back in April.
“It went real well, it was pretty cold up there, but it’s Michigan,” Perry said. “It’s one of the power house schools in the nation. I got to see the Big House. I got to tour the campus a little bit. It was a great experience.”
Next time, Perry says he would like to checkout Michigan for a game.
“For sure go to see the game, go see the environment outside the game and before the game,” Perry said. “Get to meet some of the players who play my position and see how they feel about the school.”
That being said, Perry says he will be looking for certain qualities in each program he visits.
“Great coaches and a great environment,” Perry said. “Just a great kind of vibe when you get there. Like when I got to ASU it has a great vibe. I haven’t visited Colorado yet, but I’m pretty sure they have a good little environment going on.”
Perry says he plans to announce his decision after he visits all five schools of interest, so his commitment most likely will happen after his senior season.
