BEAVERTON, Ore. – Four-star 2017 defensive end LaBryan Ray still hasn’t released his top-five, but he did say which schools have been recruiting him the most lately.
“I would say Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida, Michigan and Tennessee,” Ray said at The Opening Finals on Saturday.
Where does he stand with Michigan at the moment?
“They obviously have a great coaching staff,” Ray said of U-M. “But with what coach (Jim) Harbaugh is doing with that university, you can tell he is changing it.”
That being said, Ray says he’s still considering a trip up to Michigan for a visit.
“I may go down there for the barbecue (on Aug. 6),” Ray said. “But I’m not sure.”
Adding: “I mean, (would to) see everything,” Ray said of a potential visit to U-M. “I could talk tot the coaches more. I heard, I got a couple friends that went there, they said it was a great place.”
As far a decision timeline, Ray says he’s “going to take his time with it” and plans to take all five of his official visits.
