OSU commit trying to visit Michigan

Ohio State 2017 CB commit Shaun Wade is hoping to barbecue at Michigan.

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Scout’s No. 4 overall cornerback Shaun Wade is already committed to Ohio State, but that doesn’t mean he’s not considering a visit to OSU’s main rival Michigan

“I’m looking at Michigan, I’m trying to go up there this month,” Wade said at The Opening Finals on Saturday, noting his main goal is to attend Michigan’s recruiting bonanza – Barbecue at the Big House – if his finances are in order, to attend the event on Aug. 6.

What does he like about U-M exactly?

“I liked them as kid,” he said of U-M. “They’ve been a great program. I’ve been talking to the coaches and stuff. So they’ve been recruiting me hard. They came down there for satellite camp, and I sat down with coach (Jim) Harbaugh. He really likes me.”

Wade says his feelings about Harbaugh are mutual.

“He’s a crazy, funny guy,” Wade said. “He’s going to get on you (coaching-wse). He’s very crazy. It was like 90 degrees and he had three long sleeves on. He’s a crazy, funny guy.”

And if he does visit U-M, Wade says Harbaugh and his staff need to meet his family first, then he wants to see everything else Michigan has to offer.

“They need to meet my parents,” he said. “I know it’s going to be great campus, a great football facilities, I just want to meet the coaches and see how they are, and talk to the players.”
