Harbaugh talks quarterback competition

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh discusses the expected quarterback competition for U-M's starting job this fall.

CHICAGO -- While Jim Harbaugh didn't name a starting quarterback at Big Ten Media Days today, he made it's still an open competition.

While both Wilton Speight and John O'Korn appeared to be the top two guys after U-M's spring game on April 1, and that Harbaugh also expects both to battle for the top spot throughout fall camp.

He still insists, however, like his first season at Michigan, he most likely will not announce his starter against Hawaii till close to game time on Sept. 3.
