NJ DE Dwayne Hendricks To Make Fall Visit?

I called the home Sunday of TheInsiders.com's #32 prospect, defensive end Dwayne Hendricks from Milville, New Jersey.

DE Dwayne Hendricks (PSU Nike stats: 6-4, 250 lbs., 4.8 in the 40, 30 inch vertical jump … 3.2 GPA/910 SAT) from Milville, New Jersey wasn't home. His mother told me, "He went to work right away this morning."

Ma'am, do you know if Dwayne is still planning to visit U-M with his coach in late October?

"Yes. I believe so. He's been talking about it."

In April Hendricks and his coach Dave Heck visited U-M for a spring practice, after which the coach told GBW's Sam Webb, "We've talked about coming back on October 25. Michigan plays Purdue that day and we have a [former player] that plays on their team so we thought that would be a really good time to get back for another visit."

GBW also observed Dwayne at the PSU Nike Camp, after which I wrote: "Defensive end Dewayne Hendricks reminded us physically of Pierre Woods. In the lineman drills he was strong, quick and agile. He was definitely one of the top ten players at the PSU Nike." Note: there were actually about eight top-quality kids at the PSU Nike, including QB's Chad Henne and Anthony Morelli, RB Andrew Johnson, LB James Bryant, DB Tedd Ginn, Pa. OL Greg Harrison, NY OL Alex Fletcher, and Hendricks.

Hendricks camped at Notre Dame and Georgia Tech this summer. This week he told TheInsider.com that the three schools to which he will definitely take official visits are Michigan, Iowa, and Miami.

His coach also told Sam Webb in April, "He's top shelf when it comes to character and work ethic. He's a great student and has worked really hard. He has a 3.3 GPA and has only taken the SAT once as a sophomore and scored 900."

As a junior Hendricks made 65 tackles and three sacks. He is TheInsiders.com's #32 prospect.

Here are a couple photos of Hendricks in action taken by Sam Webb at the PSU Nike Camp.
