A lot has been made of the absence of three players from the official team photo released last week.
After some microscopic digging, true freshmen Kareem Walker and Ahmir Mitchell as well as redshirt freshman Shelton Johnson did not appear to be included in the picture but were listed on the official roster.
Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was asked the status of three players and whether they remain on the team, he was quite non-committal in his response.
"They were all invited to the (picture)," Harbaugh said. "Two of those players are suspended, we'll handle it internally."
When asked who the two players were, Harbaugh refused to answer and eventually ended his media session abruptly. According to a U-M spokesperson, Walker is not suspended at this time. Making the assumption that Johnson and Mitchell are the suspended players.
The length of suspension is unknown at this time.
