Kicker Andrew David to transfer from Michigan

A source close to the Michigan football program was able to confirm to The Michigan Insider on Monday that kicker Andrew David will transfer from the program.

Although not officially announced, former Michigan kicker Andrew David is to set to transfer for the football program.

According to a source close to the U-M football program, David is no longer part of the program and will transfer away. David, a member of the 2015 recruiting class, committed to Brady Hoke and signed his LOI with new head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh added kicker Quinn Nordin to the program in the 2016 recruiting class.

According to various teammates, they all wished David well in his new endeavor. Wolverines OL Jon Runyan Jr. first tipped off the impending transfer and even gave a destination of TCU in his farewell Instagram post.

David's Twitter profile also says he plays for TCU, though David did not respond to messages asking for comment. The football program also cannot publicly comment on potential transfers in or our of the program.

The Wolverines currently have two kickers on scholarship in Nordin and senior Kenny Allen, who is expected to field both kicks and punts this season.
