The players have spoken and they say that senior defensive lineman Chris Wormley and tight end Jake Butt are to be named co-captains this season. According to his Twitter account, Wormley broke the news late Friday night that he had been voted captain.
"It's an honor to represent (the Michigan football program) with (Jake Butt) as co-captains for the team this year!" Wormley tweeted.
Butt has also tweeted his thoughts about being named captain.
The co-captain system is a continuation of last season under head coach Jim Harbaugh, where Joe Bolden and Joe Kerridge were voted by the players.
