Moving is never easy, but so far Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2018 offensive tackle Antwan Reed is “liking” his new environment in the south.
“I’m liking it because it’s setup so nicely,” said Reed, who transferred to IMG from Muskegon (Mich.) this summer. “The schedule, the weight training program, the other place I come from they have some people slacking, here everybody is getting at it. Everything is so nice out here.”
Overall, does Reed feel he’s getting better? Was it worth the move?
“Yeah, training with the top athletes, yeah, I am getting better,” he said.
Reed’s recruitment is heating up, too. Already he holds notable offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Florida and Tennessee, among others. But with his recent move to the sunshine state, Reed admits he hasn’t focused that much on his recruitment, but expects to reconnect with U-M in particular soon.
“I haven’t been talking to them really, but my plan when I go back home is to visit probably on my bye week or something,” Reed said.
And when he does visit U-M, Reed says he plans to connect more with Michigan’s coaching staff and see if there is a connection with the program.
“Just build a relationship,” he said. “Because I haven’t been able to talk to anyone or meet people up there at Michigan, it’s all about building a relationship.”
Adding: “Growing up watching them, they’re up there with the top people,” Reed said of U-M. “Because Michigan is always been a school I wanted to go to since I was a kid.”
But make no mistake, Reed says he has no leaders, and is looking for a school he can call “home” for throughout his college years.

“Right now I am just looking for a school that can make me feel like I am at home,” Reed said. “And that everybody is on the same page to push someone somewhere.null
