Michigan has lost another member of the 2017 recruiting class.
According to his Twitter account, 2017 in-state two-star tight end Carter Dunaway announced on Friday that he is reopening his recruitment and decommitted from the U-M program.
"Thank you to the Michigan football players, coaches, staff and fans for their support and encouragement over the last year and a half," Dunaway tweeted. "After a discussion with coach Harbaugh, it is in my best interest to pursue my athletic career elsewhere. I am still, and forever will be, a fan of the Wolverines, but it seems God has other plans in store for me. Good luck to the team this season. Thank you."
Dunaway, a legacy recruit, had a father that played for the Wolverines and has a brother, Jack, who is currently a walk-on on the U-M roster.
