Hill Explains Role: 'Keep Getting Better'

Michigan's Khalid Hill explains his role as U-M's short yardage fullback after scoring two touchdowns in the Wolverines' 51-14 win against UCF.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Khalid Hill finished with two touchdown runs in Michigan's 51-14 win against UCF on Saturday, giving him three total already this season. And it appears Hill will continue to serve as Michigan's short yardage back moving forward, a role he says, he's "getting better" at everyday.

“I was just going along with the flow,” Hill said after running the ball five times for nine yards against UCF. “I didn’t know if it was going to be me or (Henry) Poggi. So basically whoevers number got called, you got to go in and produce.”

Adding: “I’m liking the start so far,” Hill said his season. “I just want to keep getting better. Today I didn’t have the best game, I had two touchdowns, but blocking-wise I gave up a sack. I also missed a couple blocks in the run game. But like I said, I made some mistakes and we got to get better next week.”

No. 5 Michigan (2-0) plays host to Colorado (2-0) at 3:30 ET.
