ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan cruised to an easy 41-8 victory against Illinois today, as the TMI crew give their thoughts on the win below. 

Topics include: 

  1. Wilton Speight: Michigan's quarterback finished 16-of-23 for 253 yards and two touchdowns in the win, and earned the praise of Jim Harbaugh after the game. 
  2. U-M's rushing attack shines again: U-M ran the ball for 270-yards on the ground, and were led by Karan Higdon's 106 yards and one touchdown, plus  De'Veon Smith added 76 yards and one score himself. 
  3. Pass defense continues to dominate: The Wolverines' secondary didn't give up a completion till the third quarter, and only gave 95 yards passing on the day.
