The margin of Michigan's victory over MSU isn't important, but the poor officiating that contributed to it is.

Hand-wringing over the margin of victory in Michigan's thwarting of Michigan State Saturday is an example of prioritizing the wrong thing. After all a win is a win. But that doesn't mean a blind eye should be turned to the effect bad officiating had on the game. Highlighting the poor performance of the officials is about building a case for fairer calls in the games against tougher teams down the stretch.
