Michigan hosted several official visitors this past weekend including a few commitments like Florence (Ala.) 2017 safety J’Marick Woods. The four-star defender had been up to Ann Arbor numerous times, but never for an official visit. This trip turned out to be everything he expected and more.
“It was amazing,” Woods told The Michigan Insider. “I got to spend quality time with the coaches, players, recruits and others. Overall, it was just great. I talked with Coach (Brian) Smith, Coach (Don) Brown and Coach (Jim) Harbaugh. They were telling me how excited they were to have me and the opportunities Michigan has to offer.”
The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder has also been a very active recruiter for the Wolverines and got to put on his recruiting hat with the other uncommitted recruits in attendance.
“I talked with Nico (Collins), Jaylen Kelly-Powell, Corey Malone-Hatcher and Aubrey (Solomon),” said Woods. “I got positive vibes from them.”
However, the highlight of his weekend was just getting to sit back and enjoy the weekend without worrying about the recruiting process.
“Just relaxing and not having to worry about anything,” said Woods. “Letting my family not have to worry and enjoy themselves. They loved it too. It sold them. We are all very comfortable with Michigan.”
As for further official visits, Woods plans on taking official visit to Mississippi State when they take on Arkansas
