Even with an upset loss to Iowa, the Wolverines aren't going anywhere in the College Football Playoff rankings just yet.
Announced on Tuesday, Michigan stays at No. 3 in the playoff rankings despite a 14-13 loss to Iowa on Saturday.
With a crazy weekend full of upsets, it was perhaps the best time to have a loss for the Wolverines' sake as the second, third and fourth teams all lost. During the shake-up, Ohio State leapfrogged U-M to number two, setting up an epic showdown next week if U-M are able to beat Indiana.
Alabama, a mainstay and one of two undefeated teams left in college football, remains number one overall. Clemson currently claims the fourth spot.
U-M can also claim it has beaten three top-10 schools this season, with Wisconsin (7), Penn State (8) and Colorado (10) all making the cut.
