Michigan is headed to south beach.
Despite not making the College Football Playoff earlier today, U-M earned a pretty decent consolation prize.
That prize, of course, will be No. 11 Florida State in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
The No. 6 Wolverines (10-2, 7-2 Big Ten) will take on the Seminoles (9-3, 5-X3ACC) for the third time in school history, the last time they played was in 1991, with FSU defeating U-M 51-31 in Ann Arbor, Mich. Michigan defeated FSU in its first match up in 1986.
This will be the third time Michigan has played it the Orange Bowl, with the Wolverines holding a 1-and-1 record in the annual New Year's Six game.
