Michigan forward D.J. Wilson is ready to show family and friends how much he's progressed in trip at UCLA.

D.J. Wilson's progression for Michigan this season has been nothing short of remarkable.

Showing the college basketball world his ability and production on both ends of the floor, Wilson, a west coast native, will be able to show family and friends his improvement up close and personal at UCLA Saturday night.

"I'm going to have some family there," Wilson said. "I think about a four and a half, five hour drive."

Growing up in Northern California, Wilson says Cal and UCLA were among the schools he envisioned himself potentially playing at in college.

Although he ended up venturing all the way out to Michigan to pursue that dream, Wilson's been waiting for an opportunity like this.

"It kind of is (a big game)," he said. "I always asked since I got here, when's our first game back in California, or at least on the west coast," Wilson said.

"It kind of is a big game, I'll have a lot of family there and people watching so it's going to be fun."
