2018 Texas CB Gemon Green talks Michigan offer

De Soto (Texas) 2018 cornerback Gemon Green talks Michigan offer, potential visit and more.

Last week, De Soto (Texas) 2018 cornerback Gemon Green tweeted out his offer from Michigan.

On Monday, the four-star standout raved about his offer with The Michigan Insider.

“I was like ‘wow!’” Green said of his Michigan offer. “Me and my brother got excited. It was cool to get an offer from Michigan. I was just really excited.”

And while Green may play down in Texas, he admits he’s a fan of a couple of U-M’s recent All American defensive backs.

“They had a great year this year,” he said of U-M. “Jabrill Peppers and Jourdan Lewis, I just liked how they play.”

Now that he has his U-M offer, Green says his next plan is to get on Michigan’s campus soon for a visit.

“We’re going to go during spring,” he said. “We want to see the campus, the players and facilities, and stuff.”

When asked about his top notable schools, Green noted that Wisconsin, Houston, TCU and Oklahoma State are sticking currently in his recruitment. He also says he plans on visiting UConn and Kansas State coming up, and has already been on campus visits to TCU and Oklahoma State.

As far as a decision timeline, Green says he plans on committing sometime after his senior season.
