Michigan was able to pluck one of the best out of the Peach State in Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County five-star senior defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon. The Maize and Blue have shown that they aren’t afraid to recruit anywhere against anyone and recently extended another offer to one of Georgia’s finest in Atlanta (Ga.) Carver 2018 four-star safety Quindarious Monday.
“(Linebackers) Coach Chris Partridge had talked to my coach and he told me the news,” Monday told The Michigan Insider. “I was excited and it means a lot because it expands my decision process. I was expecting it, but not when I got it though. I’m now more interested because it's a big one.”
The 6-foot-3, 171-pounder’s familiarity with the Wolverines isn’t too high, but does know about the high quality coaching staff headman Jim Harbaugh has assembled in Ann Arbor.
“The coaches (impresses me the most about Michigan),” said Monday. “(Head) Coach Jim (Harbaugh) has a great background and a lot to offer. I know he’s got one of the best staffs around him too.”
Monday is also very aware of the defensive success in Don Brown’s first season at Michigan and feels his game could go hand in hand in that defense as well.
“I play with passion and of course, very physical,” said Monday. “I also see ball and get ball. They play hard and physical too. Oh yeah (I think I could fit into their defense).”
Monday currently has no favorites in his recruitment, but will start traveling around to check out some schools. He stated he does indeed plan to visit Michigan in the future and will be visiting Tennessee on March 4th.
