“He said liked my abilities to cover man-to-man and my ability to tackle open field, and then was like you have an offer from Michigan,” Goodrich recalled. “It was definitely a surprise. I mean, I haven’t really talked to them before then and then it just happened out of the blue.”
Now that he has Michigan offer, where do the Wolverines rank in Goodrich’s recruitment?
“Michigan is No. 1 for sure,” Goodrich said. “I just like everything about them. Especially because they are Jordan (brand) now, I love Jordan’s."
Adding: “I would love to go to a school where Tom Brady went,” Goodrich said. “Also, I feel like me and coach Harbaugh would get a long, he’s a great coach.”
Next up, Goodrich says he would like to visit Ann Arbor this spring.
“My plan is to go visit sometime this spring,” Goodrich said. “I have to make sure it doesn’t interrupt with basketball or anything. But I just plan to see a family environment, and hopefully everyone is cool with each other. I know it’s going to be a stable environment.”
As of right now, Goodrich says he plans to announce his commitment on national signing day.
