With recruiting moving faster and faster, schools are starting to look and even offer prospects earlier in their high school career. A prospect that knows all about that is Largo (Fla.) 2020 running back Jayion McCluster. The talented youngster already holds several offers and recently added another to his offer list from the Wolverines, which was one he didn’t see coming.
“I found out from my coach and I was extremely excited,” McCluster. “Not at all was I expecting the offer.”
The 6-foot, 180-pound Sunshine State tailback admits that while he doesn't know much about the Maize and Blue, he hopes to learn more on and see in the future.
“Not very much (do I know about Michigan) except for they are very high on academics,” said McCluster. “I would like to (visit Michigan).”
McCluster saw his first year of high school football having it’s ups and downs, but his game took a step in the right direction and has continued to work on his craft.
“I bounced around from varsity and junior varsity, but I grew over the season and got better,” said McCluster. “I did pretty good. I just learned how to be a better back and got better mentally. I’m working on speed and getting stronger now.”
