U-M offer blows 4-Star ATH Hufanga’s mind

The top athlete on the West Coast is Corvallis (OR.) Crescent Valley 2018 athlete Talanoa Hufanga, who’s coveted by many of nation’s elite programs including the Wolverines. He discusses his Michigan offer and thoughts on the Maize and Blue program.

Corvallis (OR.) Crescent Valley 2018 athlete Talanoa Hufanga was a prospect the Wolverines targeted for a while and wasted no time entering the mix for his services by offering back in November. Since then, the versatile four-star recruit has added several more offers, but reflects back to when he landed his Michigan offer.

“The coaches came into contact with me and just started to recruit me,” Hufanga told The Michigan Insider. “Later they ended up offering and it was crazy. It blew my mind! I’m just excited that I get to be recruited by a high-level program like Michigan.”

The talented 6-foot-1, 194-pounder has already visited several colleges and hopes on getting out to some more schools who have offered like Michigan.

“I’m going to try (to visit Michigan), but I’m not sure if I can yet,” said Hufanga. “I love the football program because it just bleeds football and they are just a high level school.”

He has also begun building relationships with a few members of the Wolverine coaching staff, who all have made a great early impression on him thus far.

“Coach (Brian) Smith and both Coach (Jim and Jay) Harbaugh are recruiting me and I’m loving it,” said Hufanga. “It’s awesome and I’m excited for what is coming in their program. I think they are great coaches and great guys. It’s a pleasure to know I’m getting recruited by the best!”

Hufanga has yet to narrow down his list of suitors in his recruitment and plans on taking all his offers under consideration
