FRISCO, Texas – On Sunday, De Soto (Texas) 2018 three-star safety German Green made his way to Nike’s The Opening Regional to participate for the first time healthy and ready to compete.
“I just got back from my surgery and stuff, so I’m trying to prove that I’m ready and I’m ready to ball out,” Green said an interview before the workout, where answered questions regarding his recruitment.
At the moment, Green holds notable offers from Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma State and SMU, among others. All four of those schools also have happened to offer his twin brother, Gemon Green, who is rated a Scout 300 prospect at cornerback.
However, Gemon also holds an offer from Michigan, and while the Wolverines have shown some interest in German, an offer from U-M still eludes him, German Green says.
“If they were to offer me and my brother might go there together,” German Green said, adding: “Were not a package deal but we are going to college together.”
German Green says he would like to visit Michigan eventually, and he noted he’s already a fan of a former U-M standout.
“I know about Jabrill Peppers,” he said.“He’s a decent player, he’s cold.”
As of right now, German Green says he would like to commit after his senior season.
