Richland (Texas) 2018 linebacker DaShaun White is steadily gaining interest from top teams in his area.
Already, he holds offers from TCU, Houston and Louisiana Tech as he heads into his crucial spring-summer camp season.
“I feel I should be noticed because I’m very versatile at my positon,” White said, who stands at 6-foot-1, 200-pounds. “I’m working on putting weight on, obviously. In the midst of that, I’ve learned how to play safety. I’ve learned how to play nickel, play outside DB, I mean, I’ve learned it all.”
At the moment, TCU remains White’s first big offer. However, he says Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Baylor, Texas and LSU have all shown interest.
While most of his interest is from the Midlands region, White admits interest from a school like Michigan would be well received.
“Michigan is a great school,” White said. “Jabrill Peppers coming out of there. He really set the face of that school. I definitely feel like that somewhere I should play.”
Adding: “I would make it down there as soon as I could, to be honest,” White said on visiting. “I’m considering all schools, especially schools that can get me to league and that can also take care of me if I don’t make it to the league.”
And hypothetically, if the Wolverines were to offer White, what would it mean to the three-star prospect?
“It would be big, real big,” White said of an offer. “Obviously it’s a place I’ve never been. It’s a new place to go and checkout. To be honest, I want to get out of Texas, I guess we’ll see how that goes.”
White also noted he would camp at Michigan if it meant the Wolverines were to offer.
As of right now, White says he would like to commit before his senior season.
