Manvel (Tex.) 2018 cornerback Trent Gordon has been traveling all around the country on a spring break tour checking out several schools. One his stops were to Michigan, which impressed him.
“The visit was great and I got to see everything except the practice,” Gordon told The Michigan Insider. “That's the only thing I missed. I talked to several coaches, especially Coach Smith about me fitting into their defense and how well I matched up with it. They see me playing as a strong safety and I was completely fine with that.”
Gordon got to meet and talk with many of members of the Wolverine coaching staff during his visit, but also further build his bond with defensive backs coach Brian Smith.
“I think that he's a really good coach and that's he's pretty chill and laid back,” said Gordon. “I've met him prior to when he came up to my school, so it was really a reunion.”
What was the highlight of Gordon’s trip to Ann Arbor?
“My favorite part was meeting the coaches and touring the facility just because it felt so natural. I’m still interested and they're still one if my higher schools”
The Lone Star State defender hopes to make a return visit down the road and left feeling very good about the Wolverines.
“Just the coaching staff was really good to me and that I hope to see them again," said Gordon.
Gordon has no upcoming visits scheduled but will look to see others in the future
