And while he’s yet to set foot on U-M's campus, he told The Michigan Insider that his plan is to visit iMichigan's campus in the near future.
“It’s a great school,” Keys said. “Campus, I really haven’t got to see it yet. So I want to go out there and see it. But I watched them a lot. I watched a player in Jabrill Peppers that played for them. So I used to watch them a lot. And I like how their offense goes.”
Adding: “But when I go out there I am looking to see the college, the academics, and what they have to offer football-wise,” Keys said.
And if you’re wondering if distance will play a factor in Keys’ recruitment, he says otherwise.
“It’s actually not a factor,” Keys said of distance. “I can go anywhere in the U.S., like my mom said no matter where I go she’s going to be there. She’s says it’s my decision, so matter who I chose that’s where I go.”
Keys says he plans to release his top-10 later this summer.
