“They are really high on my list,” Turner said of Michigan at the Nike Opening held at his home town high school facility. “They are definitely going to be a top school when it’s all said and done.”
Where does Michigan rank on his list?
“I don’t really have a top-five yet, I’m just waiting to see after I take these visits. But Michigan will definitely be in my top-five, and I can say Tennessee and Notre Dame (also),” he said.
As of right now, Turner says his plan is to be on Michigan’s campus on either April 4-5.
“(I’m hoping) to build a relationship with all the coaches there,” Turner said. “I want to checkout all the facilities, the field house, the stadium and seeing the campus. So I am excited for that.”
Adding: “It will good to see a spring practice, how they run the ball, what they do and I really like what they do with their running backs,” he said.
Jay Harbaugh is one person he’s familiar with in Ann Arbor, and he also would happen to be his future position coach if he chose U-M.
“Our relationship is good, we text everyday,” Turner said of Harbaugh. "I’m going to be up there during spring break, which is two weeks from now. I’m excited for it.”
Along with Michigan, Turner says he plans on visiting Notre Dame, Michigan State, Georgia, Tennessee and Wisconsin coming up.
“Really, (just looking at) the relationship I have with the coaches,” Turner said of his visits. “The facilities and as long as it feels like home, it’s good for me, no matter how far it is or how close it is. So that’s really what I am looking for.”
At the moment, Turner doesn’t have a decision timeline.
