BUFORD, Ga. -- Four-star cornerback Kyler McMichael already holds double digit offers from the likes of Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia among others.
On Sunday, at Nike’s The Opening regionals held in north Atlanta, McMichael said he planned on visiting Florida State coming up, and noted his certain factors when breaking down his future program.
“Education of course, the environment, the atmosphere and the DB’s they bring in, need to see where I fit in their defense,” the Norcross (Ga.) native stated.
The Michigan Insider, for obvious reasons, asked McMichael if he still had interest in the Wolverines?
“The interest level is somewhat still there, I haven’t been reaching out to them as much as I should be at least,” he said. “I should be reaching out to them again soon. I still have an interest in Michigan.”
“I would love to go around campus and see their atmosphere of course,” he said of Michigan. “I would say that’s about it. I’ve been up there few times. But never have I ever been around campus.”
And McMichael says he has a rapport with Michigan’s headman himself, Jim Harbaugh.
“He’s very sincere,” he said of Harbaugh. “I love the way he is talking about using me. They have been talking about using me both ways up there. So that’s something I would look forward to.”
“That’s definitely something I want to hear.”
Adding: “I mean, Jabrill Peppers has been my favorite player for a long time,” he admitted. “He is someone I always look up to. He’s a monster athlete. I mean, I would love to compare myself to him.”
Next up for McMichael is trimming down his favorite schools before making his final decision this fall, he says.
“I plan on narrowing it down to about five schools right before the season starts,” he said. “Then I plan I committing mid-way through.”
