BUFORD, Ga. -- Not much has been reported between Butler (Ga.) Taylor County 2018 RB Lyn-J Dixon and his offer from Michigan.
On Scout.com alone, it’s even said there is no interest between the two parties, or so we thought.
However, after The Michigan Insider spoke with the three-star back on Sunday, it seems the interest level is mutual between Dixon and the Wolverines.
“Really, me and coach (Chris) Partridge communicate on and off,” Dixon said of Michigan. “I’m very interested in Michigan. I’m trying to get a visit up there soon to see a spring game or spring practice, trying to visit in the summer, trying to get any kind of visit.”
And, well, he has a good idea of what he wants to see on that initial trip to U-M’s campus.
“When I come up there I want to see the academics and I want to see all the coaches really,” he said of Michigan. “If they’re there for kids and if they’ll really push the kids to be better as persona and as a football player. Really I’m looking for a family when I go to college. That’s really what I’m going to look at when I go to Michigan."
Dixon also admits Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is one of the main reasons he’s looking at U-M.
“I really look at past teams and I see discipline, and I really want to part of that,” he said of U-M. “It would be an honor to be part of that. … That’s why I’m very interested in Michigan.”
Upcoming, Dixon says he has planned visits to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, South Carolina, LSU, Clemson and Florida. Also, Dixon noted he plans to announce his commitment on national signing day 2018.
