Then, well, his primary recruiter, Tyrone Wheatley, left the Wolverines to take a job in the NFL.
But even though Wheatley is no longer at U-M, the four-star defensive tackle says he’s “definitely” still interested in the Wolverines.
“I’m wide open in my recruitment,” Miller told The Michigan Insider.
“I want to go up there and see their facilities,” Miller added. “I want to meet all the coaches and see what the atmosphere is like.”
Oh yeah, distance he says will not play a factor either, noting: “Football is football.”
Already, Miller has been on campus visits to Alabama, Auburn, Louisville and Ole Miss. Upcoming, he says he plans on checking out Auburn and Alabama again, and hopes to visit Florida.
“The main thing I look at is who can get me the best education,” he said. “Who can treat me like family. I’m going to be away from my family, so I going to need somebody with me when I’m down and to pick me up.”
As of right now, Miller plans to announce his commitment sometime after his senior season. He also notes he plans on taking all five of his official visits, and Michigan has a good chance to get one, he says.
“They’re going to get one,” he said.
