LAKE FOREST, Ill. – For three-star 2018 offensive tackle Antwan Reed, coming back to play for his hometown team, Muskegon (Mich.) High, means opening up past relationships.
In particular, Reed is hoping re-open his recruitment with Michigan, who offered him over a year ago before his eventual move down south to national powerhouse Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.
“From Michigan I haven’t really heard from anybody since coming back from IMG Academy,” Reed said. “I would love to hear back from them and reach out to them and get back in touch.”
And when Reed gets his first chance, he says he plans to get back on Michigan’s campus for a visit.
“Really just get to know the coaches more in the end,” Reed said. “I really just want to regain that connection.”
While his connection with U-M has been sparse, Reed still holds the Wolverines in high regards in his overall recruitment.
“Virginia Tech, Penn State, Michigan and Nebraska are really standing out for me because of how hard they are recruiting me and stuff,” Reed said. “Michigan I would like to talk to even more.”
Reed noted he’s visiting Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee this week, as well. Plus, he says he would like to announce his commitment sometime after his senior season is complete.
