Michigan is putting an increased emphasis on Southern recruiting and has seen it pay dividends in previous classes.
It appears that emphasis will also have an impact on the 2018 class as the Wolverines have secured its second commitment in the 2018 class out of the state of Georgia.
Four-star Myles Sims, a 6-foot-2 173-pound cornerback from Atlanta, announced via his Twitter account on Friday that he had committed to Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
According to the Scout.com rankings, Sims is the No. 11 cornerback in the 2018 class, No. 1 at his position in the state of Georgia and is ranked No. 80 overall in the 2018 recruiting class.
Sims joins fellow Peach State recruit four-star linebacker Otis Reese, four-star offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor and four-star defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson as members of the Wolverines' 2018 recruiting class.
