Michigan is working hard to fill its last open scholarship spot.
Whether it's unannounced 2017 prospect Mo Bamba, or graduate transfer players elsewhere, the Wolverines appear determined to fill that opening.
After reports surfaced with the Wolverines showing interest in multiple potential graduate transfer candidate, a report from CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein throws another hat into the ring. Howard guard James Daniel, who is 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, reportedly has made Michigan one of his finalists with Ohio State, Tennessee and DePaul included.
Daniel, who only played two games this season due to an injury, was a prolific scorer for the Bison before his injury. In fact, he led the nation in scoring during the 2015-16 season with 27 points per game.
He is eligible to play immediately.
