Now just two months later, Hutchinson admits it’s finally starting to soak in.
“Right when I committed it was all surreal, I really didn’t take it in,” Hutchinson said. “And now it’s really starting to absorb and really understand what it’s like being an Michigan commit. It feels so great. I finally realizing I’m waking up everyday knowing I’m going to Michigan, it’s a great feeling.”
On Saturday, Hutchinson will experience his first Michigan spring game action as a commit. His eyes, of course, will be focused on the defense.
“I’m going to soak up the experience and really just see how their defense plays,” Hutchinson said. “You have ten new starters on defense, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens.”
Moving forward, the 6-foot-6, 245-pounder says he continue to perfect his pass rush as he prepares for his senior season at Dearborn (Mich.) Divine Child.
“I’ve been working with my dad a lot on my technique,” Hutchinson said. “Just going to these camps has really helped me expand my technique for all of pass rush and really perfected all the things I have done.”
