Ohio TE Upshaw hoping to hear from Wolverines

Lima (OH.) 2018 tight end Keaton Upshaw discusses his interest in the Maize and Blue, the impact an offer would make and more

At 6-foot-6, 225-pounds, Lima (OH.) 2018 tight end Keaton Upshaw has the frame and size college coaches are searching for. Not only does he look the part, but plays it once he steps onto the field.

“I’m a tough player, strong and can make plays up and down the field,” Upshaw told The Michigan Insider. I block [well] and create mismatches with other teams.”

Schools have taken notice and Upshaw already holds a handful of offers including hearing from several others. However, he is hoping to hear from another in the Michigan Wolverines.

“No I haven't heard from them yet,” said Upshaw. “I'm interested in them. I like Coach Harbaugh and the way he runs his offense and using his tight ends. I’m just hoping to hear from them!”

Since Jim Harbaugh arrived in Ann Arbor, Upshaw has seen the success the program has experienced, which is a big reason behind his strong affinity towards the Maize and Blue.

It is also why an offer would be just as huge to him and his recruitment.

“It would mean so much to me because that's my dream school,” said Upshaw. “I always liked them. I just always knew Harbaugh was a great coach and does a lot of great things and I like how he runs his offense and like that he gets players to the league. It would mean a lot to me to get up there and visit too.”

Upshaw also added he hopes to see Auburn and Michigan State, but has no dates set yet for either.
