Chris Wormley hoping for similarities in coaching styles between Harbaugh's

Chris Wormley is headed from one Harbaugh to another in Baltimore and hopes to see some similarities between the two brothers.

From one Harbaugh to another, Chris Wormley hopes that things don't change too much.

With the No. 74 pick in the third round, Wormley was selected by the Baltimore Ravens. While there are more links than former players, such as Willie Henry, on the Ravens' roster, there are links between head coaches, too.

Of course, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is the brother of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. Wormley was fortunate enough to be around his future head coach during his time in Ann Arbor. John spoke to the team before a game against Maryland and has also visited practice on numerous occasions.

With the two coaches having the Harbaugh genes coursing through their veins, Wormley hopes he is stepping into a similar situation.

"Hopefully it's similar," Wormley said during a conference call with reporters. "I was with Coach Harbaugh at Michigan for the last two seasons. Hard work, success, so hopefully the other Coach Harbaugh has the same values and mindset. Coach John Harbaugh came and spoke to us a couple of times, he was at a Maryland game. He spoke to us before the game, so I kind of have a feel how he is as a coach. I've spoken to Willie Henry, who was our defensive lineman two years ago, I spoke to him and I'm just expecting the same as Michigan's head coach, Coach Jim Harbaugh, and how he carries himself.

"The type of mindset he has as a coach is hopefully the same because Coach Jim Harbaugh is definitely a pleasure to be coached and be led by him."

While the NFL draft always has twists and turns, it never seems to stick with a script as Wormley learned. While many pundits and analysts alike predicted Wormley to fall somewhere in the second round, and some saying even the first round, Wormley had expectations that he would be off the board earlier than he was.

At the end of the day, he is excited to be continuing his football career at the next level.

"Originally I thought [I was going earlier], seeing all the mock drafts on TV, Twitter and things like that, and hearing things like that from my agent," Wormley said. "I'm super, super excited to be a part of this organization. I talked to GM [Ozzie] Newsome, it was good to get to hear his voice. I obviously spoke to Coach Harbaugh and Coach Cullen. I'm excited to be a part of it and I'm ready to get to work."
