Top ’19 DE Anderson: “I could see myself playing” at U-M

Michigan has been busy recently on the recruiting trail and offered one of the best upcoming pass rushers in Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Siegel 2019 defensive end Joseph Anderson, who has him now very interested in the Wolverines.

Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Siegel defensive end Joseph Anderson is already considered one of the most highly regarded prospects in the 2019 class. The talented sophomore holds offers from many of the nation’s premiere programs like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee amongst others. Earlier this week, he added another from the Michigan Wolverines.

“Coach Mattison came by the school and my head coach, Coach Copley told him to come back for practice because Coach Mattison was going to leave later in the evening, so he came and watched me practice,” Anderson told The Michigan Insider. “Before he left, he told my head coach Michael Copley that I have an offer from Michigan. After my head coach received the news, he told me and I was pumped. I was very excited about it.”

While there is still plenty of time until Signing Day for the 6-foot-4, 250-pound Anderson, his most recent offer from the Maize and Blue has him very intrigued.

“I definitely have interest in Michigan and I could see myself playing there,” said Anderson. “Yeah for sure (I plan on visiting), but I just don’t know when yet.”

Anderson currently has no upcoming visits planned.
