Ryland Goede saw his recruitment begin early, very early. He landed his first offer before he even started his sophomore season from Georgia and now sits with over double-digit offers. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound tight end out of Kennesaw (Ga.) Mountain has burst onto the recruiting scene and picked up another scholarship to his already impressive offer list from Michigan.
“One of the coaches had came in and then my coach told me they wanted to extend an offer and I was really pumped,” Goede told The Michigan Insider. “Michigan uses the tight ends in a really great way and very often, so I was excited. Yeah 100% (I was waiting on this offer). I was hoping this would be coming.”
Goede’s interest has significantly piqued with the Wolverines and he now hopes to check out Ann Arbor sometime in the future.
“Big time interested (in Michigan),” said Goede. “Can't wait to get up there for sure. Most definitely plan on visiting, but not sure when yet. I don't know a ton, but I love watching them and can't wait to meet the whole staff and see the campus.”
“I’m just really excited to receive the offer and can't wait to visit.”
One aspect that does stand out to the talented Peach State tight end about the Maize and Blue before visiting is their headman, Jim Harbaugh, who is a coach he could envision himself possibly playing for one day.
“Yeah, I definitely could (see myself playing for Harbaugh),” said Goede. “I love his passion for the game and his players.”
Goede has no favorites or any visits coming up at the moment as he’s in the middle of his baseball season
