Earlier this month, Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus High 2019 OT Justin Osborne announced on Twitter his latest offer from Michigan.
On Sunday, he reflected on his offer from the Wolverines, admitting his initial U-M offer was a bit of a surprise.
“Well, the offensive line coach (Tim Drevno) came to Marcus (High) and told me he had some good news for me, and I was really excited because it’s Michigan,” Osbrone recalled of his U-M offer.
Adding: “It came right out of nowhere and it really opened my eyes to Michigan.”
And it seems Drevno has already made a strong impression on Osborne, too.
“I really like him,” he said of Drevno. “He was just saying of how much the team likes me, and how I would be a good fit there.”
Next up, however, Osborne says he needs to learn a little bit more about what U-M has to offer.
“To be honest, I really don’t know too much about Michigan," he admits.
Though, he says, his next planned campus visit should give him mr of an opportunity to learn more about U-M has to offer.
“That’s our next plan, me and my dad would like to go up there for a visit,” he said, noting it would most likely be this summer.
If or when he visits U-M, Osborne says he would like to check out what Michigan offers academically and hopes to see good leadership among the coaching staff.
Osborne also holds offers from Oklahoma and SMU. He as only been on a campus visit to OU.
