Former Michigan running back Kingston Davis has found a new home.
The 6-foot-1, 245-pounder will transfer to Independence Community College, a JUCO, in Independence, Kansas according to the Pirates' head coach, Jason Brown on Twitter.
The redshirt sophomore is eligible to play immediate according to NCAA-to-JUCO transfer rules. He can also transfer back to a four-year program without repercussions as well.
An early enrollee freshman, Davis appeared in one game, rushing for 17 yards in the season opener against Hawaii. Davis missed the rest of the 2016-17 season with an injury before announcing his transfer from the program in March. According to The Michigan Insider's Sam Webb, Davis' father says that a crowded running back depth chart and a potential move to fullback spurred the transfer proceedings.
