The Wolverine coaching staff have been busy at work on the recruiting trail since returning from Rome and offered several new prospects around the country. The latest offer sent out was to Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington 2019 athlete Daxton Hill, who was very excited about the news.
“(Monday) morning their defensive backs coach came to see me,” Hill told The Michigan Insider. “Later on, I found out they wanted to offer me and I was ecstatic knowing their program is a really good football program. I’m just thankful for the offer and means a lot how one of the top schools wants you to play for them.”
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound versatile prospect holds offers from Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Tulsa and now Michigan. However, the Cowboys are looked to be a tough team to beat with his older brother, Justice Hill, a sophomore running back at Oklahoma State.
Still, the four-star prospect is exploring all his options including his most recent offer from Michigan, who he hopes to learn more about and check out down the road.
“I’m interested, but not overly interested because I don't know too much about them and academically I don't know what they have, but I like how they run their football program and all the players that came out of Michigan,” said Hill. “The success they had there says a lot about their talent and great coaching at the university. Yes, it's definitely a school I want to learn more about and take as many visits as I can.”
So what will be the deciding factors be when the time comes for Hill to make that final decision?
“The major I will be interested in and how successful the football team has been,” said Hill.
