Michigan has been very busy during the evaluation period having sent out over forty scholarship offers all around the country. The most, however, have been in the Peach State and the latest went out to another Georgia native in Buford (Ga.) 2019 offensive tackle Harrison Miller.
“Some (Michigan) coaches were visiting and I found out later by my coach,” Miller told The Michigan Insider. “I’m very excited. The whole Michigan fan base seems amazing. It’s huge (landing this offer). The football is great and so are the academics.”
The mammoth 6-foot-4, 310-pound prospect holds offers from Florida, Florida Atlantic, N.C. State, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Toledo, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and now Michigan. With his latest offer from the Wolverines, Miller now plans to take a closer look at them.
“I’m very interested,” said Miller. “The education offered there is great and the atmosphere is amazing. I’m very excited and looking forward to learning more about Michigan.”
Will the emerging Peach State lineman look to make the trek up to Ann Arbor in the future?
“I would love to visit, but as of now I do not know when,” said Miller. “I will absolutely try to visit.”
Michigan also has one of his teammates in the fold for the 2018 class in running back Christian Turner, who he wouldn’t mind possibly teaming up with at the next level.
“Absolutely (I’m tight with him),” said Miller. “He makes me look good even if I mess up and he has great energy. It would be really fun (to play with him in college).”
With two years of high school to go, Miller still has plenty of time before making any decisions but does have an idea when he may start cutting down his list of suitors and the factors he will take into consideration.
“I’ll probably (narrow down to a top list) sometime during this season when I see the schools that are really investing in me,” said Miller. I’m looking for a good education and a positive culture mainly. I want to be somewhere where I feel happy to play for my community.”
